I'm totally digging this song right now. It just came out not 2 months ago, and Kim Tae Woo has already been given an Inkigayo Mutizen, a spot for 3 consecutive weeks on K-Chart, and an M! Countdown trophy. Ye, I am now just a little tiny bit familiar with Korean pop culture :)

This is his music video for "Love Rain" or in Korean, "Saranghae Bi." I made sure it was subbed in English ^^. The song starts around 2:05.

Kim Tae Woo's music video "Love Snow" has just been released in time for Christmas. Rappers (슬라임,드로플렛 Slime Droplet) and a choir have been composed into this sister song.

K-Pop Fever

I've been listening and paying attention to Korean music for the past few months, particularly groups So Nyuh Shi Dae (소녀시대 or SNSD) and 2PM. I try to keep updated with no more than two to three groups, or else it takes up just way too much time. I think listening to music sung by musicians who are other than American and British helps keep an open mind to other countries and their cultures, no? :] Here is a playlist of handpicked Korean songs I currently enjoy. The first several songs by SNSD and Brown Eyed Girls are pretty recent (2008-2009), but I'm not sure about the rest of them haha.

It will probably take several days after posting this for the playlist to allow full versions for all the songs.

Bark in the Park

Quick post.

Did a multimedia piece for the Spartan Daily. I think one of the Daily reporters, Suzanna Yada, also did a multimedia piece on this.

This video was exported as H.264, which resulted in blurry visuals. I later found out that I should have exported it as DV/DVCPRO NTSC. I've been pooping out multimedia pieces about two to three times a week for the Spartan Daily now, and it's been a lot of work for me, but I'm learning so much through this. The multimedia editor, Mike Anderson, has been helping me understand all the technical details in producing videos. Hopefully I will slowly but surely improve and become more knowledgeable.
